Armstrong Siddeley Lancaster (1949)The first newly designed car model produced after the Second World War, this rare time warp exhibits a charming art deco style. It was built to last with a massive chassis, hand-formed thick steel and aluminium body and a full-width sunshine roof. It is not rusty and drives, but now needs some gentle TLC.We have obtained its history from its previous owner of 33 years and the low mileage of 20,700 miles in 61 years seems to be correct. (This low mileage may partly reflect the unusual semi-automatic Wilson pre-selector transmission which works well but does need practice to operate.) The car has a new leather front bench seat, new carpeting, and new tyres and is well maintained. It is taxed and was MoT'd until September 2009. Not a car to take to the shops every day, but for those who want a piece of motoring history to sympathetically upgrade for use and investment, this could be it.Price - οΎ£3,450 to clear << Return to stock list
