The Aston Martin DB4 launched at the 1958 London Motor Show and made a sensational debut: the factory made substantial changes with the introduction to the DB4 making the driving much more easier than on the DB3 with better handling and driving characteristics. The engine size was increased to 3.7 litres producing 245 HP, the introduction of rack and pinion steering, assisted disc brakes, coil springs to the rear and upgrades suspension making the car much more enjoyable to drive. The bodywork was designed by Touring and the building retained the ?Superleggera? process of a steel tube frame with an all aluminium body. The DB4 was a major success for Aston Martin and production continued until 1963. It should be noted that the DB4 was a milestone in the history of Aston Martin that the DB4 was the first model to be built at the company's Newport Pagnell works. The DB4 is regarded by motoring experts as an iconic motorcar and probably the best sport car of its era.Beautifully presented in the preferred combination of Silver coachwork, with dark blue upholstery.
