A genuine MKII Austin Mini 1000, 'Eric' (reg no. ERC 374J) has had a great deal of money spent on it by its last owner who acquired it in 1998 to bring it to Cooper 'S' specification for fast road use. Tax exempt and with current Mot to October 2010, it is fitted with a full length electric Webasto sunroof.
The following is a list of the main modifications carried out:

'B' series 1275 cc engine fully rebuilt and bored out to 1297, new mini cooper gearbox, electronic ignition, Koni shock absorbers all round, high performance drilled and grooved brake discs, 13" Mini-Lite alloy wheels, low profile tyres, Aston racing petrol filler cap, uprated front & rear lights, twin spotlamps, Astrali steering wheel, grey maple dashboard and door caps, comprehensive & updated instruments, heated rear window, GT high-back adjustable seats, big bore stainless steel exhaust, stainless steel bumpers, quality stereo system, Group 5 anti theft system.

Performance is very brisk with the larger wheels offering much higher gearing for more comfortable driving in modern traffic conditions. The very attractive price does acknowledge some cosmetic paintwork defects in the usual places around headlamps and body seams as well as a somewhat scruffy headlining.
A large quantity of mainly MK1 mini spares is available for a small additional sum to the buyer of this car.
