This amazing American automobile certainly wasn't designed with the shy retiring type in mind as it looks like it's flying along the road when it's just standing still. If you want to make an impression on the road, at shows or events then this is the car for you! It has been the subject of one of the most meticulous restorations I have seen and it come with a big file of bills. However it's not just all show as it has a really smooth overhead valve 3.5 litre six cyliner engine providing plenty of power and a gearbox which feels like you are just cutting butter with a warm knife. The steering is light and easy to use for what is quite a big car so you don't need arms like Charles Atlas to drive it! It gives the distinct impression that it will be a truly wonderful long distance car, indeed its owner bought it with the next Peking Paris Rally in mind however once he saw it he decided that it was just far too good to be subjected to such a punishing event so he would find something else and leave this for someone to cherish and win shows with. They are called Fangio Coupes because the great man successfully raced one in those crazy South American long distance road races, if it's good enough for him its certainly good enough for me. Bring your own Stetson and take your Chevy to the levee or the nearest show if you don't happen to live by the Mississippi!
