43.500 miles ONLY1973 Daimler Double Six Series 1 SWB

A super rare model - the first I have found in many many years - as they were only available to special order, the SWB normally being specified as a Jaguar

We have a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate confirming despatch to Botwoods of Norwich in December 1972 and original registration, DUN 1, on 1st January 1973 to Frettenham Line Ltd

Subsequently Mr P.G. Egmore bought her from Mann Egerton Ltd, Norwich in October 1975 (at 26.533 miles) and then she went into the long term owenrship of Geoffrey Priest & family (registered 31 PE), in whose possession she remained until 2004

She was hardly used between 1981 and 1990 when her mileage moved from 36.235 to 38.064

She has had 1 keeper since 2004 (41.990 miles), Richard Thompson, giving us a total of 4 keepers since new and a total mileage now of 43.454

Her history folder also contains an unmolested Daimler Double Six Instruction Manual and a very rare period sales brochure

Since our tenure we have had her wooden fascia removed and repolished by our Rolls-Royce Wood Restorer and the rev counter has been overhauled. We have also changed her front seat belts for new and also fitted rear belts whilst there

Other than that the interior is in remarkably fine and original condition, a testament to the way she has been kept

About Them: Graeme has been involved with Classic Cars Professionally for over 20 years. He was based at Jack Barclay Ltd for 13 years starting as a Salesman in 1989 and progressing, under the supervision of Victor Barclay to Managing Director. Under Graeme's guidance Jack Barclay was bought back from Lonrho PLC and became independantly owned again in 1997. Graeme set up his own Company (Graeme Hunt Ltd) in October 2001 and quite naturally has a bias towards Bentley motor cars. That hasn't stopped him involving himself in other favourites such as Daytona's / 550's / Dino's / E Type's / XK's / Cobra's / Corvette's / Classic Range Rover's.

Interests: Graeme has a natural passion for older cars and is as much an enthusiast as a dealer having personally owned many Classics from Bentley Continental's to Porsche Turbo & RS Carrera to Alfa Montreal & BMW CSL and even to a beloved Laverda Jota. Graeme is also dedicated to fine quality restoration and can list a number of "chassis off" cars completed. AC Cobra's / 280SE 3.5 Coupe / Silver Shadow's / 'R' Type Continental's / 'S' Type Continental's / Daytona & Dino. Many pre-war cars have also been restored including an HJ Mulliner Sedanca de Ville Phantom III. This car was invited to many prestigious Concours Events including Villa d'Este, Louis Vuitton Bagatelle & Pebble Beach, California. Naturally she won not just her Class at the RREC but the Masters Class too.
