About Them: I started my historic, vintage, veteran and classic car business after leaving Quenby Brothers, the Standard Triumph garage in Baldock. This was in 1963... Yes! The swinging 60s were upon us. Sex, Drugs and Rock and Roll. Well, I loved the sex, didn't get involved in drugs, and I was a bloody awful dancer! I have been buying and selling historic vehicles ever since. Now, the JOHN BROWN name is well known to most historic, vintage, veteran, and classic car enthusiasts - indeed, I have owned more than 2,700 historic cars - and driven them all! This may be more than anybody else in the UK, and possibly the world! I love motor racing and have my own National Kart Circuit. I won the MG Trophy in 2007, and my son won the MG Trophy too this last season in 2008, at the age of just 17.

Interests: My other hobbies include boating on the high seas, water skiing and snow skiing too. Flying was another interest, but my son, daughter and wife of 34 years needed my time, so I got rid of the plane. The John Brown historic car business has been going for 46 years now, and I do confess to being addicted to buying, selling and driving the nation's historic cars. What a great way to spend every day? My family and I live in a beautiful water mill on the River Ivel, close to Sandy in Bedfordshire, UK, only 50 miles north of London. We welcome you with a big smile and open arms, but please telephone for an appointment prior to coming. My mobile is always turned on, FROM 9am TO 6pm. Failing that, please try the land line phone.
