This TVR uses the Buick based Rover V8 engine, which importantly was developed by TVR Power (275 bhp) and rebuilt by them in 2006, and has covered some three thousand miles since the rebuild. The cooling system has had all hoses replaced with silicone black hoses, and a Kenlowe twin fan has been fitted for efficient cooling. A stainless steel exhaust system, together with manifolds, have also been installed. The chassis frame was completely refurbished in 2003 by RT racing of Sheffield, which entailed the fitting of all new brake lines, fuel lines, springs and shock absorbers. The bodywork has been fully professionally restored and refinished in 2009. The interior trim was replaced in 2009 by D & C Trim of Blackpool, the original trimmers at TVR who actually worked on the car when it was built.
