- The Triumph Vitesse is a British car that was launched in 1962. The car came as a saloon and as a Triumph Vitesse convertible. This classic car was based on the earlier and very successful Triumph Herald, using some of the same components. This includes the bodywork being designed by Michelotti.
- The front end was reworked and it also featured a now famous slanted eye look on the front lights, making it one of the most distinctive looking cars of its time. The Triumph Vitesse was fitted with a 6-cylinder 1600cc unit which made it an impressively speedy vehicle.
- Interiors of this car had new additions, including wood veneer door cappings. Throughout its years of production, the Triumph Vitesse convertible went through many updates. The chassis was improved, a rev counter added and extra capacity to the engine was provided. 1971 saw the last Triumph Vitesse roll out.
- Parts are readily available, and can be quite cheap to buy. For this reason today, the Triumph Vitesse convertible is a highly popular classic car.
